This is the renovation to overwrap the sense of taboo occurred by social phenomenon and a physical environment device into the one space.
This space was made under the space “Juliana Tokyo” had appeared suddenly in the bubble economy age. Since it is used as an underground storage in a parking lots in a concrete port warehouse building built more than 50 years ago on the artificial land, underground water and sea water invaded concrete slabs and walls to inside and it made interior much humid and moss. To take such humid air and moss away to use as a living space, this space was designed to be the airy cave to be a device of the air control to protect from such bad environment.
The underground cave can be overwrapped as “La Grotta” in which the past social ritual “Juliana” in bubble age has been hidden as a taboo.
