This project is a clinic-residence complex located in central Tokyo.Instead of adopting an XY Carcesian framework that fragments che plot according to the geometry of the city block, the scheme was conceived as if bundling together multiple polar coordinate systems, each drawn from arbitrary points on the site and directed toward the sky. As a result, the consciousness of those within the building is drawn “pulled” toward the southeastern sky, the sole direction in which this site opens beyond the otherwise wholly artificial urban environment.
